Helix Art Space
I gave a contemporary art gallery a brand with its own voice, made to collaborate with its artists rather than disappear behind them.
Helix Art Space sits on the 16th floor of Norra Tornen, high above Stockholm — a contemporary art gallery for visual art, performances and immersive installations. It stands for its own bold point of view — a gallery with a voice as strong as the art it shows. As creative lead I built the whole world from the ground up — brand identity, graphic design, website, photography and film — translating the space and its attitude into one cohesive identity.

THE APPROACH
A brand, not a backdrop.
Most galleries keep their identity neutral and stripped back, so it disappears behind whoever's showing. We chose the opposite. Rather than build a blank room for artists to fill, I gave Helix Art Space a voice of its own — a brand that meets its artists as a collaborator, not a backdrop. It was a deliberate break from how galleries usually work, and unlike anything I'd built before: no client image to protect, just the art and the space itself. That choice set the tone — a clear point of view the artists step into, where the gallery and the work share the stage.

THE BRAND
High, bold, and entirely its own.
Three words set the direction — high, bold, own — drawn from the space itself, sixteen floors up in Norra Tornen. I built the identity to match: dark and dominant, with clear white type at hard contrast, all caps on black, for a dramatic, industrial feel. From the logo and typography to posters and print, every part pulls in the same direction — confident, uncompromising, and unmistakably its own. The result is a brand with real presence, one that gives the gallery a voice as strong as the art it shows.

KEEPING IT ALIVE
Still building, exhibition after exhibition.
Helix Art Space is an ongoing partnership, not a finished file. For every exhibition I keep the brand alive across new work — posters and stickers, campaigns and email, photography, film and the website — each piece made with the artists but held together by the gallery's own voice. It's the part that proves a brand isn't a one-off: keeping it consistent, current and unmistakably Helix, show after show.
