Tower Helix

I rebuilt a venue's website from the ground up — and won back the bookings it had been handing to competitors.

Tower Helix sits on the 16th floor of Norra Tornen — 400 square metres, eleven balconies, panoramic views across the city. It's built for conferences, events, meetings and podcast production, for companies and private guests alike. My role spanned art direction, design and development, photography and SEO: translating the feeling of the physical space into something that holds the same sense of quality on screen.

THE STRAP

Built on Wix, capped by Wix.

The first build got Tower Helix online fast. But a penthouse venue — eleven balconies, conferences, events, podcast shoots — asks more than a template can give. The booking system said it all: too rigid for how the space actually works, so guests dropped off or booked through third-party platforms instead. Every one was a sale lost and margin handed away. The page didn't help either — heavy, slow, quick to bounce — while the SEO fought itself, pages competing for the same searches. A premium space, quietly underselling itself online.

THE NEW STACK

One tool couldn't. The right stack could.

On Wix, Tower Helix was locked to one clunky booking system — no guest checkout, few payment methods, email automation shut off. Framer let me rebuild it around the tools the venue actually needed. First, an upsell path: the studio split into three clear tiers plus a subscription, so guests pick the level that fits and every booking is worth more. Then the booking itself — Bookla, with an advanced calendar and guest checkout. Payments moved to Stripe: more methods, and a clear backend for the Helix team.

Stripe put payments on solid ground — per-customer discount codes, every payment method guests expect, and one clear backend where the Helix team keeps it all in order.
